Senior SAP FICO Consultant (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential mobility technology organization in their search for a Senior SAP FICO Consultant to join their ERP Finance team in Berlin, Germany. Our client is implementing a new S/4HANA system with initial focus on Finance and Procurement modules, and they need an experienced in-house SAP expert to drive this transformation.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a consultant who wants to move beyond project-hopping and take true ownership of an ERP platform from implementation through long-term evolution. You'll work at the intersection of business requirements and technical solution design, serving as the internal SAP authority while partnering with external implementation teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the in-house SAP expert during new ERP implementation, focusing on Finance (FI/CO) and Procurement (MM) modules
• Translate business requirements from Finance, Procurement, and adjacent departments into scalable SAP solutions
• Collaborate with external implementation partners throughout design, build, testing, and cutover phases
• Support data migration activities, test management, and go-live preparation from an internal ownership perspective
• Take long-term ownership of the SAP solution post-go-live, including enhancements, change requests, integrations, and continuous process improvement
• Build SAP capability within the ERP Finance team through knowledge sharing and mentoring
• Act as trusted advisor to Finance and Procurement stakeholders on SAP capabilities and best practices

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience as an SAP Consultant, including 5+ years specifically in S/4HANA environments
• Strong functional expertise in SAP Finance (FI/CO) and Procurement (MM) modules
• Working knowledge of SAP Supply Chain and Asset Management modules is a plus
• At least two complete end-to-end SAP implementations, ideally in organizations of similar scale and complexity
• Solid understanding of core finance and procurement processes: General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Controlling, and Purchase-to-Pay
• Experience working effectively with external system integrators as an equal partner
• Ability to engage with senior Finance and Procurement stakeholders and translate between business language and SAP terminology
• Structured, pragmatic, and delivery-oriented approach with strong communication and facilitation skills
• Based in Germany with fluency in both German and English
• Authorized to work in Germany without visa sponsorship
