Founding Product Manager (German-speaking)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS client in Munich who is building advanced software for complex manufacturing environments. Our talent team is searching for a Founding Product Manager who is fluent in German and ready to take significant ownership in a fast-growing, early-stage organization.

This is a hands-on product role where you will shape what gets built, why it matters, and how it delivers value to enterprise customers. You will work across commercial, customer success, and engineering teams, translating complex workflows into clear product requirements and driving initiatives from discovery through launch.

Responsibilities

• Lead product discovery and translate complex workflows and customer needs into clear product requirements and success criteria
• Develop deep understanding of how manufacturing and systems-engineering teams work
• Identify and define the highest-value customer problems to solve
• Help own and prioritise the product roadmap, balancing strategic opportunities, recurring customer needs, commercial importance, and engineering effort
• Drive product initiatives from initial discovery through scoping, development, launch, and iteration
• Provide engineers with the context and clarity needed to make strong implementation decisions
• Prototype and test potential solutions with customers before and during development
• Work with Customer Success to turn individual customer feedback into scalable product improvements
• Use qualitative feedback and product data to understand adoption and evaluate feature performance
• Triage product issues and bugs, make clear prioritisation decisions, and coordinate with Engineering
• Improve processes for discovery, prioritisation, product delivery, launches, and feedback
• Develop deep expertise in the product, customers, and target industries

What We're Looking For

Required:

• At least two years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Product Operations, or a comparable product-building role
• Experience shipping B2B software in close collaboration with engineers
• Experience conducting product discovery and translating customer problems into clear requirements
• Strong prioritisation, project management, and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to understand technical products and communicate with engineers, technical users, and business stakeholders
• Fluent German required; English is the internal working language
• Ability to work four days per week on-site in Munich

• Ambitious, resourceful, and excited to become an expert in a complex industry

Bonus: Experience with enterprise software, AI products, manufacturing, engineering, systems engineering, or early-stage startups

Compensation & Benefits
