Chief Product Officer – Product, Growth Systems & AI (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential staffing platform in Berlin that is building the next generation of workforce operations. This organization connects talent with opportunity through AI-powered systems and is expanding rapidly through both organic growth and strategic acquisition. We are seeking a Chief Product Officer to lead product, engineering, and growth functions as they scale their marketplace platform.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own the entire product strategy, build scalable growth systems, and integrate acquired businesses onto a unified platform. You will work directly with executive leadership and investors, combining deep technical delivery with strategic vision.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute 2-3 core product bets spanning marketplace matching, self-service acquisition, and platform integration for acquired companies
• Build repeatable acquisition-to-fulfillment systems with measurable improvements in conversion, fill rate, margin, and velocity
• Lead hands-on product discovery, prototyping, specification, experimentation, and delivery—you will build, not just delegate
• Automate campaign management, routing, and matching processes using AI and agentic systems to reduce manual effort and process costs
• Conduct product and technical due diligence on acquisition targets, including synergy analysis and integration planning
• Develop and execute 100-day integration plans for acquired staffing businesses, covering data, CRM, matching, and operations
• Provide functional leadership across product, engineering, and growth marketing with clear decision rights and shared outcomes
• Establish structures that enable operational product decisions to run independently of the CEO
• Collaborate closely with operations to ensure product development aligns with real-world business needs

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of experience with digital platforms, marketplaces, or vertical SaaS products with demonstrable responsibility for business and funnel metrics
• Current hands-on capability in discovery, prototyping, specification, experimentation, and product delivery
• AI-first working approach using LLMs, coding and prototyping tools, and agentic automation systems
• Strong data and technical fluency: product analytics, SQL fundamentals, APIs, data models, integrations, and architecture trade-offs
• Experience with CRM, marketing automation, attribution, and self-service funnels (HubSpot or comparable platforms)
• Track record of functional leadership across product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams
• Fluent German (C1/C2) and English (C1) in both written and spoken forms
• Strong bonus: experience with product/technical due diligence, platform integration, or post-merger integration (traditional M&A experience is not required)

Pay

The client offers €120,000 base salary plus performance bonuses and equity participation. This role is based in Berlin.
