Senior Internal Communications Manager (12 month FTC)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading global technology company in the travel sector, seeking a Senior Internal Communications Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Edinburgh. This is a hybrid role where you'll play a pivotal part in shaping how leadership communicates strategy, priorities, and culture to a distributed workforce of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the monthly master narrative that connects strategy, business priorities, culture, and people stories into one cohesive message
• Lead all leadership communications across multiple internal channels, ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact
• Plan, produce, and deliver monthly Town Hall live events, including content development, speaker preparation, and post-event follow-up
• Develop internal communications strategies for key business initiatives, transformation programmes, and employee engagement moments
• Transform complex topics into accessible, human-centred stories that employees can understand and act upon
• Collaborate with People, Strategy, Corporate Affairs, Product, and Engineering teams to maintain aligned and purposeful communications
• Partner with creative, production, and agency teams to develop innovative communication experiences
• Use data, feedback, and channel analytics to measure effectiveness and continuously improve communication approaches

What We're Looking For

• Substantial experience in internal communications, employee communications, or leadership communications, preferably within fast-paced, global, or technology-driven environments
• Exceptional storytelling abilities across written, live, and filmed formats with a talent for simplifying complexity
• Proven track record partnering with senior leaders to advise on communication strategy, messaging, timing, and delivery
• Experience delivering communications for business transformation, change programmes, and culture initiatives
• Strong background in planning and executing live internal events such as town halls, all-hands meetings, and leadership sessions
• Deep understanding of internal communication channels including intranet, email, Slack/Teams, live events, and digital content
• Experience collaborating with creative, production, or agency partners to produce high-quality communication assets
• Comfort using AI tools to support research, planning, drafting, editing, and creative development
• Sound editorial judgement with meticulous attention to detail and confidence to challenge when messaging needs refinement
• Highly organised with ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on delivery while maintaining quality under pressure
• Collaborative, curious, and calm demeanor with proven ability to build trusted relationships across functions and geographies
