Senior CRM Lifecycle + Journeys Manager

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential direct-to-consumer retail organization seeking a Senior CRM Lifecycle + Journeys Manager to lead their European triggered-flow programme across the UK, Germany, and France.

In this role, you will build and own the entire automated lifecycle engine across email, SMS, push, and in-app channels. You will spend the majority of your first six months working hands-on in Iterable and the CDP, writing flow logic, setting up data pipelines, designing experiments, and deploying AI agents that streamline build, test, and reporting processes.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Building, launching, and owning all triggered lifecycle flows for UK, DE, and FR markets including welcome series, browse abandon, cart abandon, post-purchase, low stock, back in stock, win-back, replenishment, and care instructions
• Partnering with marketing technology teams to ship AI agents and tooling that reduce flow development time by at least 50% within 90 days, with a target of one end-to-end CRM agent in production by year-end
• Running a rigorous testing roadmap with a minimum of 6 A/B tests per quarter per flow per market, working with data teams to ensure statistical soundness
• Building channel-cost decision logic across email, SMS, push, and in-app for each flow in each market
• Recovering signal lost from fingerprinting and consent restrictions in UK/EU by prioritizing app and logged-in routing for non-consenting users
• Establishing and running the localization pipeline with freelance copywriters for EN-UK, DE, and FR, ensuring localized flow content is live before each market launch
• Partnering with technical teams to maintain CDP quality across UK/EU markets, including data model integrity, integrations, data hygiene, latency management, and identity-resolution accuracy

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 6+ years of lifecycle or CRM marketing experience in direct-to-consumer or ecommerce, with at least 3 years owning automated and triggered flows end to end (not campaign or blast work)
• Hands-on experience with Iterable (preferred) or comparable ESP such as Braze, Klaviyo, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud—you must have built flows in the tool yourself, not just briefed them
• Hands-on experience with a CDP such as Segment, mParticle, Hightouch, or Census, with a solid understanding of identity resolution and data hygiene
• Experience building or deploying AI agents or LLM workflows in a marketing context (copy generation, segmentation, flow logic, or QA). If you haven't shipped one yet, you should be able to describe the one you would ship in your first 90 days
• SQL proficiency with the ability to self-serve in Looker, Lookr, or BigQuery without waiting for analyst support
• A/B testing rigor, including understanding of statistical significance and where traditional testing breaks in lifecycle marketing (sample size, primary metric selection, novelty effects)
• Working knowledge of UK and EU privacy law (GDPR, PECR) and consent management, with an understanding of operational changes when fingerprinting is restricted
• Detail-oriented mindset—triggered flows succeed or fail based on edge cases such as locale, currency, time zone, opt-in state, and suppression rules
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, as you will work daily with creative, brand, data science, technical, and counterpart teams

Preferred qualifications:

• Multi-market lifecycle experience (UK plus DE or FR)
• Fashion or home goods background
• App-native lifecycle experience
• Fluency in German or French
