About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior HR Manager for a part-time role (30 hours/week) with a fixed-term contract of 1.5 years. This position is based in Cologne, Germany and offers flexible working arrangements including home office options.

Our talent team is looking for an experienced HR professional who can serve as a strategic partner to leadership while driving organizational development in a growing, sustainability-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to managers on all strategic and operational HR matters
• Support employees throughout the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
• Actively shape and guide organizational development and change management processes to ensure the organization remains future-ready
• Support the recruiting process from workforce planning through candidate selection to successful onboarding of new colleagues
• Contribute to payroll administration and ensure smooth payroll processing in collaboration with relevant interfaces
• Manage planning, control, and monitoring of the HR budget while supporting personnel analyses and administrative HR processes
• Take ownership of HR projects and bring fresh ideas to optimize and advance HR practices

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree with focus on Personnel Management or comparable qualification with additional HR certification
• Solid experience in a comparable position including employee relations and leadership support, plus broad expertise in individual and collective labor law
• Strong communication and consulting skills with diplomatic finesse and self-motivation
• Excellent self-management abilities and high service orientation
• Ability to act as a motivator and champion change through an advisory role with emotional intelligence ("heart-to-heart" approach)
• Skill in influencing behavior sustainably through both rational argumentation and emotional depth
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, organizational talent, and passion for sustainability
• Fluent English (written and spoken) required
