Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Database Administrator to ensure the stable and secure operation of their Oracle database infrastructure. In this role, you will work within a high-availability environment and take ownership of critical systems.

• Manage and maintain Oracle database landscapes with a focus on version 19c, ensuring reliability through Data Guard configuration
• Operate confidently within Linux environments, optimizing kernel parameters for database performance and utilizing shell scripting for efficient system management
• Implement proactive monitoring strategies to ensure continuous availability, identify potential bottlenecks before they impact operations, and continuously improve surveillance approaches
• Develop comprehensive technical concepts for long-term modernization and migration projects
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and analysis to resolve complex database challenges
• Plan storage architecture and resource distribution, ensuring reliable data protection through RMAN restore and recovery procedures
• Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks (for example, via Ansible) to free up capacity for strategic initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Experienced database administrator with analytical working methods and strong knowledge of Linux environments
• Practical experience with Oracle database administration, particularly High Availability features
• Working knowledge of Data Guard and RMAN, or strong motivation to deepen expertise in these areas
