Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking a Test Engineer for their London office. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of critical trading and market data systems.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites
• Executing functional, regression, and integration testing across multiple systems
• Collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve defects
• Documenting test cases, test results, and quality metrics
• Participating in agile ceremonies and providing testing estimates
• Contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented testing professional with strong technical skills and experience in financial technology environments. The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Test Engineer or QA Engineer in a financial services or trading environment
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Proficiency with test automation frameworks and scripting languages
• Experience with API testing and understanding of system integration patterns
• Familiarity with agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• UK work authorization
