Senior Technical Project Manager – PMO (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join their Project Management Office. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of technical projects across development teams and business functions, working at the intersection of technology and business.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Translating ambiguous requirements into executable plans and structuring initiatives into scalable roadmaps, iterations, and implementation phases
• Coordinating priorities, dependencies, and delivery sequencing across multiple teams and parallel workstreams
• Identifying resource bottlenecks and delivery risks early in the project lifecycle
• Ensuring transparency through structured reporting, clear governance, and effective escalation management
• Actively challenging requirements and shaping structures for new initiatives where no blueprint exists
• Working with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and comparable solutions
• Continuously developing PMO standards and processes
• Supporting portfolio alignment and prioritization efforts
• Mentoring junior project managers and sharing knowledge across the team

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a seasoned project management professional with:

• 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management within software development or technical delivery organizations
• Proven end-to-end delivery ownership of cross-functional initiatives with multiple parallel workstreams
• Strong experience in stakeholder and escalation management
• A high degree of ownership and composure in environments with shifting priorities and ambiguity
• Confident use of common PM tooling such as Jira and Confluence (or comparable platforms)
• A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Professional fluency in English

Beneficial but not required:

• Experience in cloud, hosting, or IT infrastructure environments
• Familiarity with agile scaling, PMO, or portfolio management
• German language skills
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or PSM
