Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential green technology organization in their search for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a dynamic product and engineering team. This is a remote opportunity based in the UK, working on systems that power innovative solutions in the sustainable transport sector.

Our client uses a modern tech stack including Python with GraphQL, React with Next.js, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, all running on AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Work within dedicated cross-functional teams on key products for customers and internal stakeholders
• Build APIs and integrate with internal and third-party services to optimize and automate business processes
• Develop frontend applications that deliver exceptional user experiences
• Create performant systems that work consistently across modern browsers and devices
• Write maintainable, high-quality code with long-term sustainability in mind
• Contribute ideas, share knowledge, and elevate team capabilities through collaboration

What We're Looking For

Essential skills and experience:

• Expert-level proficiency in Python and React
• Strong experience working with multiple data sources and designing expressive APIs using GraphQL
• Proven experience with design systems and component libraries
• Excellent understanding of fundamental coding principles and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to create robust, scalable, maintainable software
• Track record of collaborating effectively within teams and across disciplines
• Experience taking ownership of feature development from inception through delivery

Bonus qualifications:

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Next.js
• Working knowledge of AWS and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices
• Experience with event-driven architecture and systems (EDA)
• Production experience with AI technology and tooling
