Entrepreneur in Residence/Product Lead (Project Thinkrail)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential developer tools organization in their search for an Entrepreneur in Residence/Product Lead. In this role, you will work directly with the technical founder to own product strategy for an innovative open-source programming language designed for AI-driven development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning the product strategy by defining direction, validating key hypotheses, and deciding what to build first
• Running continuous discovery through conversations with developers and customers to understand real workflows, pain points, and opportunities
• Defining the initial scope by identifying the ideal customer profile, core use cases, and priorities for zero-to-one development
• Shaping go-to-market strategy including positioning, messaging, launch planning, and market approach
• Tracking the ecosystem by staying close to competitors, adjacent tools, AI developments, and market trends
• Working closely with engineering to keep a small team focused, aligned, and moving quickly in a highly ambiguous environment

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who can deeply understand developer workflows and translate insights into concrete product requirements. This is not a traditional product management role—you'll operate with founder-level ownership and autonomy.

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of product management experience with end-to-end ownership of strategy, discovery, and delivery
• Startup experience in a small team environment with a strong track record of building and shipping zero-to-one products
• Experience with developer tools or AI products
• High autonomy and comfort making decisions with limited information
• Strong technical fluency and ability to work closely with engineers

Preferred qualifications:

• Founder, co-founder, C-level, or similar leadership experience
• Coding experience
• Experience with go-to-market strategy, marketing, product launches, developer advocacy, or public speaking

Location: Berlin, Munich, or Remote within Germany
