Senior Data Engineer (Commercial Analytics)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech organization seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Growth Intelligence function. This is a high-impact role where you'll architect and maintain the data infrastructure that powers commercial operations, revenue analytics, and emerging AI capabilities across the business.

In this position, you'll own the integration layer connecting CRM, billing, and customer success platforms to a centralized BigQuery warehouse. You'll work at the intersection of data engineering and business operations, translating complex GTM requirements into reliable, governed data pipelines that the entire organization depends on.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production data pipelines between commercial tools (HubSpot, Zuora, Vitally) and BigQuery
• Own reverse ETL workflows that enrich warehouse data and sync it back to operational tools while maintaining consistency
• Implement data contracts with clear ownership, SLAs, and schema agreements between data producers and consumers
• Partner with RevOps and business architecture teams to translate operational requirements into scalable pipeline solutions
• Build comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems that proactively catch data quality issues
• Simplify integration architecture by centralizing data flows through the warehouse and reducing point-to-point connections
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to ensure pipeline outputs are properly structured for downstream modeling
• Work upstream with tool owners and engineering teams to establish data quality standards at the source

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience building and maintaining production data pipelines in commercial or GTM data environments
• Strong understanding of CRM data models, APIs, and field management (HubSpot or similar platforms)
• Hands-on experience with reverse ETL patterns and bi-directional data synchronization
• Extensive BigQuery experience in production settings
• Track record implementing data contracts in multi-stakeholder environments
• Python proficiency for pipeline development, transformation logic, and tooling
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices for data engineering
• Comfort working across complex multi-system architectures with diverse data sources
• Strong collaboration skills with senior GTM and commercial stakeholders
• Ability to thrive in dynamic environments where you help shape roadmaps rather than following rigid backlogs
• Experience within SaaS organizations collaborating with revenue operations teams

Technical Stack: BigQuery, Python, HubSpot, Zuora, Vitally, plus exposure to dbt, Fivetran/Census, or Airflow

Location: United Kingdom (remote, hybrid, or in-office options available). You must be physically based in the UK with valid right to work. Visa sponsorship is not available.
