(Senior) Azure Platform Engineer (mIwId)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential trading organization with a global supplier network in the Rhein-Ruhr metropolitan region. We are seeking a (Senior) Azure Platform Engineer to join their growing cloud infrastructure team.

Location: Essen, Germany (hybrid/remote work options available)

This role offers the opportunity to shape a modern Azure-based platform while working with cutting-edge infrastructure automation tools and practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the ongoing development and automation of a modern cloud platform, supporting central services within the Azure environment
• Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and Bicep to ensure standardized provisioning and configuration of cloud resources
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into concrete technical tasks and prioritized work packages
• Manage platform components through their entire lifecycle, from development and implementation through to stable operations
• Lead analysis, isolation, and sustainable resolution of technical incidents and complex error patterns
• Document relevant incidents and solutions systematically, deriving measures to improve platform stability

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Practical experience with public cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of modern cloud architectures and IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, ideally with Terraform and Bicep
• Knowledge in areas such as Cloud Governance, Policy Management, centralized logging, and automated deployments
• Understanding of modern development and operations models, including CI/CD processes
• Strong German and English language skills, both written and spoken
