IT-Forensiker / Analysten (mIwId)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity consultancy seeking an IT Forensics Analyst to join their team in Frankfurt am Main. In this role, you will work alongside experienced professionals on challenging digital forensics cases.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting IT forensic analysis following cyber attacks under the guidance of senior colleagues
• Assisting in the identification, isolation, and preservation of digital data, traces, artifacts, and potential evidence
• Contributing to data recovery efforts and identifying and containing malicious software
• Participating in the analysis and step-by-step reconstruction of cyber attacks based on forensic findings
• Supporting the preparation of legally compliant documentation and reports on investigation processes and results
• Helping develop and implement provisional infrastructure to maintain emergency operations
• Collaborating with internal teams to restore and secure compromised IT systems

What We're Looking For

• Completed training or degree in computer science or comparable qualification
• Genuine interest and affinity for IT forensics
• Structured thinking approach and ability to work independently
• Initial exposure to forensic methods and techniques
• Knowledge of various file systems, operating systems (particularly Microsoft and M365), and network protocols
• Ideally, hands-on experience with common forensic software and security tools
• Excellent German and English language skills
