About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential optical retail organization in Viernheim that is seeking an Optician (full-time or part-time). This role is open to career changers from fashion, cosmetics, or retail backgrounds who want to enter the optical industry.

Our client operates their own in-store workshop, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern digital tools. This position offers hands-on technical work alongside personalized customer consultation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, empathetic consultation to customers using your technical expertise and genuine interest in people
• Manufacture and finish eyewear directly in the store workshop, maintaining high quality standards
• Contribute actively to team culture through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support
• Utilize modern technology and digital tools (including tablets) in daily work

What We're Looking For

• Qualified optician (Augenoptiker/in) OR background in retail, fashion, or cosmetics with interest in professional development into optics
• Strong sense of style and enjoyment of creative work
• Enthusiasm for modern technology and digital tools
• Team-oriented with genuine enjoyment of customer interaction
• Open to full-time, part-time, or job-sharing arrangements
