Sales Engineer UK/I

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization in their search for a Sales Engineer to support the UK and Ireland markets. This is a remote position, ideally based in Southeast or Central UK.

In this role, you will serve as a technical expert working directly with prospects and customers. You will lead discovery sessions and product demonstrations that showcase advanced security validation capabilities. Your day-to-day will include:

• Serving as a trusted cybersecurity advisor within customer environments
• Leading technical discovery sessions and delivering compelling product demonstrations both virtually and in-person
• Partnering with Sales to qualify leads, develop account strategy, and progress opportunities to close
• Assessing customer requirements, addressing technical questions, and aligning solutions to their security needs
• Supporting proof-of-value evaluations, installations, and post-sale adoption activities
• Collaborating with channel partners to enhance customer experience
• Representing the organization at conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a seasoned technical professional with deep cybersecurity expertise and strong customer-facing skills:

• 5+ years in Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Professional Services, preferably supporting enterprise customers in the cybersecurity sector
• 2+ years of hands-on technical experience with Windows, Linux, networking, cloud platforms, Docker, Active Directory, and troubleshooting
• Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure, network security, cybersecurity methodologies, and Microsoft network protocols
• Familiarity with penetration testing concepts; practical red team or offensive security experience is a strong advantage
• CEH, CISSP, or equivalent certification preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships
• Self-motivated and collaborative, able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the UK and Ireland
