Senior MQA Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital health organization in their search for a Senior MQA Engineer based in Croatia. In this role, you will:

• Perform manual testing of web-based applications and maintain comprehensive testing artifacts including checklists and test cases
• Participate actively throughout the software development lifecycle, analyzing requirements and identifying potential quality risks
• Execute test plans, prioritize testing efforts, and perform exploratory, regression, and release testing
• Conduct API testing and validate client-server architecture functionality
• Search, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
• Estimate testing efforts and make strategic decisions about test execution under time constraints
• Participate in hiring processes by serving on interview panels for future team members

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings:

• 5+ years of manual QA engineering experience
• Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Strong skills in REST API testing using Postman
• Expertise in functional, regression, usability, and GUI testing (React experience required)
• Experience with requirements review, analysis, test planning, and estimation
• Solid understanding of web application and browser architecture principles
• Knowledge of client-server architecture and communication protocols
• SQL and database testing experience
• Proficiency with JIRA for bug tracking and TestRail for test management
• Experience with continuous integration tools such as GitLab is a plus
• Understanding of TDD and BDD methodologies is beneficial
• Legal authorization to work in Croatia
