Senior IT-Projektmanager / Technical Consultant (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consulting firm in Würzburg that works with growing organizations to modernize their business systems, digitalization initiatives, and technology infrastructure. Our talent team is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager / Technical Consultant to take operational ownership of software and digital transformation projects from requirements gathering through implementation.

In this role, you'll work directly with executive leadership, department heads, and technical stakeholders at client organizations. You'll bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, supported by a consulting and engineering team that provides expertise and development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead digitalization and software projects end-to-end, from initial requirements analysis through go-live and handover
• Analyze business processes, existing systems, and data flows across multiple departments to identify requirements and dependencies
• Evaluate solution options including standard software, integrations, and custom development based on value, cost, maintainability, and scalability
• Develop prioritized roadmaps, define work packages, and coordinate stakeholders, dependencies, and decision-making processes
• Manage project delivery, documentation, acceptance testing, and knowledge transfer to internal teams
• Identify practical opportunities for AI and automation while considering quality, data protection, and security requirements
• Translate unclear requirements into structured processes, clear decisions, and actionable implementation steps

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Several years of experience in technical project management, IT consulting, or a comparable role with independently managed software or integration projects
• Hands-on software development experience and solid understanding of data models, APIs, architecture, and sustainable software operations
• Strong analytical skills with ability to structure ambiguous requirements into clear processes and actionable plans
• Knowledge of enterprise software ecosystems, particularly CRM, back-office systems, customer service platforms, and reporting tools
• Business judgment to prioritize based on value, effort, and risk; ability to evaluate build-versus-buy decisions
• Independent working style with strong follow-through on open items and ability to create clarity amid changing requirements
• Fluent German communication skills for engaging with executives, business units, and developers
• Practical understanding of AI applications and automation
