About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology organization in the maritime sector, seeking a Project Leader (m/f/d) for R&D Maritime Communication Systems in Kiel, Germany. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead complex development projects for security-relevant communication systems used in maritime applications.
Our talent team works exclusively with innovative engineering firms developing cutting-edge solutions. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer ready to take technical ownership of sophisticated system integration projects.
Responsibilities
- Assume technical responsibility for development projects from specification through delivery
- Create detailed development specifications in close coordination with application teams
- Integrate and qualify new hardware and software components into complete systems
- Support the application segment in evaluating customer specifications and preparing proposals
- Collaborate closely with organizational project managers and sub-project leaders throughout the development lifecycle
- Oversee system qualification processes through to production handover or customer acceptance
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree in engineering sciences
- Proven experience in the design, integration, and qualification of complex systems
- Demonstrated ability to create clear and complete technical specifications
- Strong capability to navigate complex technical and organizational environments
- Excellent delegation skills with the ability to assign tasks to project team members and monitor their completion
- Very good written and spoken German required for effective communication with German-speaking customers and project stakeholders
- Experience working with maritime, defense, or safety-critical systems is highly valued
