Commercial Contracts Senior Lead

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital marketplace client seeking a Commercial Contracts Senior Lead to join their London team. This is a genuinely modern procurement and commercial role designed for someone who wants to drive strategic supplier relationships while championing practical AI applications in contract management and supplier governance.

You'll own high-value contract negotiations with critical partners, shape modern supplier management frameworks, and build AI-assisted workflows that transform how contracts are analysed, negotiated, and managed across the organisation. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, stakeholder influence, and technology-enabled innovation.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage complex, high-value commercial agreements with Tier 1 and strategically important suppliers across all business functions
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of supplier management strategy, governance frameworks, and scalable processes
• Champion AI-assisted workflows and agents to modernise contract analysis, negotiation preparation, and supplier governance
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders including Legal, Finance, Technology, and executive leadership to deliver streamlined commercial solutions
• Drive optimisation of spend and growth initiatives through best-in-class supplier management practices
• Build and manage contract lifecycle systems, connecting platforms, data, and workflows across teams

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience negotiating complex commercial contracts with Tier 1 and strategically important suppliers, comfortable with both strategic oversight and hands-on execution
• Proven track record managing and improving contract lifecycle systems, building governance frameworks, and creating scalable processes in fast-paced environments
• Hands-on experience or genuine eagerness to build AI-assisted workflows, automations, or agents for contract and supplier management
• Strong stakeholder influence skills with experience partnering with and influencing Legal, Finance, Technology, and C-suite leaders
• Naturally curious, commercially minded builder mentality—someone who challenges the status quo and is energised by testing, simplifying, and improving processes
• Real comfort connecting platforms, data, and workflows across different teams and systems
• Bonus: Experience in high-growth digital marketplace or technology businesses, knowledge of SaaS and technology licensing, GDPR and data privacy expertise, or experience integrating contract lifecycle platforms with finance and workflow systems
