Senior Solutions Engineer (EMEA)

About the Role

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure client in their search for a Senior Solutions Engineer based in the United Kingdom. This is a strategic pre-sales position where you will partner with enterprise account executives to qualify, progress, and close revenue opportunities with Fortune 500 prospects. You will guide technical stakeholders through sophisticated demos, architecture discussions, and proofs-of-concept that demonstrate value for developer productivity platforms and AI-assisted development workflows.

This role goes beyond scripted demonstrations. You will run deep technical evaluations while translating technical wins into compelling business cases for economic buyers. You will thrive in ambiguity, stay motivated by closing deals with integrity, and bring the voice of the customer back into product and go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with enterprise prospects throughout the pre-sales cycle and drive toward technical wins
• Deliver compelling platform demonstrations from developer, administrator, and AI workflow perspectives
• Deploy and configure cloud development environment solutions on Kubernetes and VM infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments
• Lead proofs-of-concept that validate platform value, including workflows for agentic AI and LLM-powered development
• Develop subject-matter expertise in cloud development environments, agentic AI tooling, and their business impact
• Serve as the voice of prospects and customers, channeling insights to engineering and product teams
• Track and communicate product issues and feature requests through internal systems
• Troubleshoot deployments, networking configurations, and orchestration components during customer evaluations
• Contribute to product documentation and knowledge base materials

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer selling infrastructure or developer tooling
• Strong customer-facing skills that build trust with technical stakeholders and champions
• Ability to translate technical challenges into business value in real time
• Understanding of agentic AI software development use cases with the ability to advocate effectively
• Comfort leading architecture demonstrations and deep-dive troubleshooting sessions
• Deep Linux fundamentals and command-line proficiency
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
• 3+ years working with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including ingress controllers, proxies, and load balancers
• Experience with AI tooling at both user and infrastructure levels, including AI coding assistants and LLM infrastructure components such as model proxies and routing layers
• Ability to speak credibly about enterprise AI adoption and evaluation processes
• Startup-speed execution, ownership mindset, and player-coach attitude

Bonus qualifications:

• Success at both high-growth startups and larger enterprise software vendors
• Direct experience deploying or supporting AI coding agents in customer environments
• Background in CI/CD, DevOps, or developer-platform products
• Experience on platform engineering or developer platform teams
• Kubernetes, AWS, or related technical certifications

Pay

This role offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, equity, and commission. The base salary range is strong for the UK market, with a 70% base / 30% variable commission split structure typical for enterprise solutions engineering roles.
