GenAI Engineering Coach (m/w/d) – Hybrid (deutschlandweite Standorte)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential IT consulting organization seeking a GenAI Engineering Coach to enable client teams in AI-assisted software development. This is project-based consulting work with rotating engagements typically lasting three to six months.

In this role, you will:

• Coach client organizations in adopting AI coding tools and establishing productive workflows with platforms like Copilot, Cursor, and Model Context Protocol
• Design and implement governance frameworks and guardrails to ensure AI-assisted development remains secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards
• Create onboarding programs and build reference implementations using enterprise-standard technologies such as Java/Spring Boot and TypeScript/React—you coach with hands-on code, not slide decks
• Lead technical workshops and support proposal activities, representing the technical voice of AI transformation to both development teams and decision-makers
• Drive proof-of-concept projects and agent-based modernization initiatives within legacy enterprise environments

What We're Looking For

• Substantial technical background in enterprise software development—you have built complex systems yourself over multiple years, not just consulted on them
• Active, productive use of AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor in real project work, beyond weekend experimentation
• Proven ability to transfer knowledge and enable teams: addressing resistance, changing working practices, and genuinely enjoying this aspect of the work
• German language proficiency at C1 level, plus solid English skills
• Clear preference for customer-driven project work with rotating assignments rather than long-term single-project engagements
• Willingness to travel for project-based client meetings within Germany (hybrid setup with three days home office per week)
