Private School Admissions Consultant

In this part-time role, you'll guide students and families through the competitive private school application process, earning $100+ per hour with growth potential as you develop expertise under mentorship from experienced admissions leaders.

Position Summary

As a Private School Admissions Consultant, you'll work directly with families to develop comprehensive strategies for navigating selective private school admissions. Through structured training and hands-on experience mentoring under our CEO and senior consultants, you'll master institutional selection, application strategy, and the art of helping students present their authentic selves to admissions committees. This role offers meaningful impact from day one while building deep expertise in one of education's most competitive landscapes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Partner with families to identify target schools and build strategic multi-year application roadmaps aligned with student strengths and goals.
• Help students develop and refine personal narratives and essays that capture their unique intellectual interests and authentic voice.
• Provide detailed feedback on draft essays, coaching students through multiple revision cycles to strengthen ideas and execution.
• Conduct practice interviews with students and deliver tailored preparation coaching for school-specific interview formats.
• Advise families on supplemental questions, extracurricular positioning, and other application components to strengthen candidacy.
• Collaborate with the admissions team to stay informed on school-specific trends, institutional priorities, and admission patterns.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in private school or college admissions consulting, OR at least 2 years working in a private school admissions office.
• Bachelor's degree from a nationally accredited university.
• Demonstrated success managing and completing complex projects collaboratively within team settings.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to elevate student narratives and help families articulate their stories persuasively.
• Native or highly proficient command of English with excellent verbal communication across diverse audiences including families, students, and school administrators.
• High energy, enthusiasm, and genuine interpersonal skills that build trust and rapport with families and students.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines while maintaining quality and working independently in fast-paced environments.
• Comfort with flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend availability when needed.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace applications.
• Commitment to a minimum one-year tenure with the organization.
• Familiarity with Monday.com, Vonage, client-facing sales processes, or marketing strategy is advantageous but not required.
