Lead System Engineer

Carrier is seeking a Lead System Engineer to join our technology team at our Hyderabad facility in Building No: 12C, Floor 9,10,11, Building No: 12B -Stilt floor, Raheja Mindspace, Cyberabad, Madhapur, Hyderabad - 500081, Telangana, India. In this full-time role, you will architect, design, and oversee critical system infrastructure whilst mentoring engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Role Overview

As Lead System Engineer at Carrier, you will drive the technical vision for our infrastructure and systems architecture. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that meet stringent performance, reliability, and security requirements. This leadership position offers the opportunity to influence system strategy, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices across the technology function.

Core Duties

• Design and architect enterprise-grade system infrastructure aligned with business objectives
• Oversee system implementation, deployment, and operational excellence across production environments
• Lead technical teams in troubleshooting complex system issues and performance optimisation
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and incident response protocols to ensure system reliability
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and validate system solutions
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance system capabilities and operational efficiency

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience leading system infrastructure projects and technical teams
• Strong expertise in system architecture, cloud platforms, and enterprise networking
• Demonstrated proficiency with Unix/Linux systems and infrastructure automation
• Experience with containerisation, orchestration, and distributed systems design
• Knowledge of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and system hardening
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
