Sr. Software Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing SaaS organization that delivers critical risk intelligence and response solutions to enterprise clients worldwide. Our client is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join their development team in Mexico. This is a full-time, remote opportunity to work on scalable web applications that help organizations protect their people and operations during critical events.

As an AI-forward engineering organization, our client actively leverages modern development tools including Claude, Cursor, and emerging AI platforms to enhance code quality, productivity, and collaboration across their engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features for mass communication and alerting platforms using full-stack technologies
• Build scalable production web applications using Python, Elixir, JavaScript, Next.js, and React
• Leverage AI-enabled development tools such as Claude and Cursor to support development workflows, problem-solving, and documentation
• Work within an Agile environment using Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack for collaboration and deployment
• Deploy and manage Linux-based containers using Docker or Kubernetes on cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with principal engineers and product teams to drive architectural evolution for critical applications
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Contribute innovative ideas for leveraging new technologies within the product roadmap
• Manage multiple projects in parallel while maintaining strong organizational practices

What We're Looking For

• 6-8 years of experience building scalable web applications
• Strong proficiency with Elixir, Python, Django, and JavaScript tech stacks
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services or other major cloud platforms (required)
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies
• Experience with Linux-based containers using Docker or Kubernetes
• Established practice of writing comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Active user of AI tools and modern developer platforms to enhance engineering velocity and quality
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong English proficiency (written and oral) is required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field preferred
