Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Principal Implementation Consultant to join their professional services team in London. In this senior role, you will become the primary point of contact for customers following the sales cycle, responsible for leading complex enterprise implementations and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle.
You will guide solution design and architecture for sophisticated implementations, ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes and industry best practices. Your responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end implementation projects for enterprise clients, acting as the solution authority across functional and technical teams
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with strategic customers, serving as senior advisor from project initiation through successful adoption
- Analyzing customer business processes and providing strategic recommendations to optimize platform usage and deliver measurable value
- Partnering closely with delivery managers and project managers to proactively manage solution risks, dependencies, and escalations
- Serving as the primary escalation point for complex implementation challenges, driving resolution while maintaining delivery integrity
- Collaborating with sales, professional services, and customer success teams to support solution scoping and implementation strategy
- Representing customer insights internally to influence platform direction based on industry trends and regulatory developments
- Contributing to delivery methodologies, coaching consultants, and supporting the development of emerging solution experts
What We're Looking For
You excel at building relationships across diverse stakeholders and have genuine enthusiasm for working directly with customers on enterprise software implementations. You're willing to become deeply skilled in SaaS solutions while balancing priorities across multiple accounts.
Required qualifications:
- BA/BSc in Business, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in client-facing professional services roles within a SaaS environment
- Proven track record delivering enterprise IT projects as an individual contributor or team lead
- Demonstrated ability to engage across corporate functions including professional services and product management
- Experience planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating implementation of SaaS systems, preferably in data privacy compliance or enterprise software professional services
- Direct experience implementing and supporting large enterprise solutions
- Strong relationship management and customer management expertise
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to chair meetings and host webinars
- Well-developed strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience contributing to methodology development, delivery standards, or enablement programs
- Willingness to travel as required (estimated 10-20%)
Highly desirable:
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, FIP, AIGP, CISA, CRISC, GRCP, or other relevant privacy, security, risk, governance, or compliance certifications
- Recognition as a subject-matter expert in implementation strategy or specific regulatory domains
- History of mentoring consultants and shaping delivery quality
- Experience influencing product roadmap or go-to-market strategy through customer and delivery insights
