Newly Barred Associate Attorney, Workers’ Compensation (Remote – Fresno,CA)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential California law firm seeking a Newly Barred Associate Attorney to join their Workers' Compensation practice. This is a remote position based in Fresno, CA, ideal for attorneys who recently passed the California Bar or are taking the February 2026 exam. You will work directly with an experienced Senior Associate and be supported by a dedicated team of paralegals and administrative staff.

Candidates must be California State Barred and reside in California.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of workers' compensation cases through resolution
• Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions on their behalf
• Handle deposition invoicing and related administrative tasks
• Respond to client inquiries requiring attorney negotiations and advance matters toward resolution
• Maintain responsiveness to incoming emails and phone calls
• Provide direction and guidance to paralegals and support staff as needed
• Contribute positively to team culture and participate in team events during and after work hours
• Provide constructive feedback to management to support continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• Active California State Bar membership in good standing (newly barred or February 2026 Bar takers welcome)
• Must currently reside in California
• Comfort working in fast-paced environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team-oriented mindset with ability to lead by example
• Doctors' deposition experience preferred but not required
