About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international development organization working in partnership with youth-focused government agencies in Cameroon. Our talent team is seeking a bilingual communications and digital marketing professional to support a 3-month virtual volunteer assignment starting in October 2026.

This remote role offers creative professionals the chance to apply graphic design, digital storytelling, and social media expertise to youth empowerment and civic engagement programs. You'll collaborate with ministry teams to transform local success stories, testimonials, and field data into compelling visual content that reaches young people and communities across the region.

Responsibilities

• Create visual content, key messages, and attractive communication materials to increase visibility of youth program initiatives among communities and institutional partners
• Support planning, production, and distribution of digital content across social media platforms, websites, and other relevant communication channels
• Build capacity of ministry staff in digital communication, content creation, visual storytelling, and online visibility best practices
• Adapt content for web and social media to engage diverse target audiences

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• University degree or equivalent training in communication, digital marketing, graphic design, journalism, visual arts, public relations, or related field
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in communication, digital marketing, graphic design, content creation, or related area
• Proven experience creating and adapting content for web, social media, and different target audiences
• Full professional proficiency in French (Level 5) and intermediate proficiency in English (Level 3) - both written and oral
• Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
• Flexibility and patience for working with partners in remote locations with potentially unreliable internet connectivity
