Technical Product Manager – AI Investing App

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization building next-generation financial applications across Southeast Asia and globally. They are seeking a Technical Product Manager to own an AI-powered investing vertical from end to end. This is a remote role open to candidates in Thailand and internationally.

You will work at the intersection of product strategy, technical architecture, regulatory compliance, and AI implementation—shipping features that handle real money movement with correctness, speed, and user trust.

Responsibilities

• Own a complete product vertical: outcomes, metrics, prioritized backlog, and crisp acceptance criteria
• Partner with engineering on technical design including system boundaries, money-movement correctness (idempotency, ledgering, reconciliation), third-party integrations, failure/retry/refund paths, security, and scalability
• Make and defend hard trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and user experience when challenged by engineering, compliance, or operations
• Treat regulatory constraints as first-class product inputs: licensing scope, KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, data residency, and privacy requirements
• Define where AI adds value, what it can decide autonomously, where humans remain in the loop, how models are evaluated, and fallback behavior when confidence is low
• Ship feature-complete behind flags and launch incrementally as regulatory and partner gates clear
• Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance teams in a distributed, international environment

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Significant experience owning complex technical products end-to-end with strong judgment under ambiguity
• Solid technical foundation: system design (boundaries, datastores, queues, APIs, failure modes, concurrency), ability to read and challenge design docs, and sketch architectures—no coding required, but technical enough that engineers don't need to simplify
• Experience in a regulated or high-consequence domain (payments, banking, remittance, insurance) or demonstrable ability to ramp quickly; understanding that money movement prioritizes correctness over convenience
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based products; ability to frame features as evaluable with offline/online/human feedback; realistic expectations around hallucination, drift, and when models must not be in the loop
• Strong English communication for working across global, distributed teams
• Comfort working remotely across time zones in a fast-moving international environment

• Engineering or highly technical PM background
• Zero-to-one product experience
• Shipped AI-heavy consumer products
• Defined evaluation metrics for ML/LLM systems
• Strong intuition for AI UX and failure handling
• Southeast Asia market experience
