Technical Product Lead – AI Stockbroking App

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization building AI-powered financial products across Southeast Asia. Our talent team is seeking a Technical Product Lead to own a critical product vertical end-to-end—from strategy and technical architecture through regulatory compliance and production launch.

This is a remote role based in China, working with a distributed international team. The product involves real money movement across payments, wealth management, and trading. Reliability, regulatory rigor, and financial infrastructure are core to the product—not afterthoughts.

Our client is AI-native by design, but AI is a tool, not the objective. You'll need strong judgment on where AI genuinely improves outcomes, where deterministic systems must remain in control, and how to build products that are reliable, auditable, and trusted by users and regulators alike.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end: strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery
• Shape technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements into the product, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing
• Apply AI where it improves outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products around external dependencies: regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party integrations
• Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers and ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for working in a distributed, international team

Nice to Have:

• Engineering or highly technical product background
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
