3D Senior Animator (freelancer)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential gaming studio based in Poland that is seeking a 3D Senior Animator to join their team on a freelance basis. Our client is developing immersive digital experiences and needs an experienced animator to create captivating character and creature movements that elevate their projects.

This is a freelance position based in Poland, offering the opportunity to work on innovative projects with international collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Create visually stunning and realistic 3D character and animal animations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure animations align with the project's creative direction and technical requirements
• Implement and refine animation pipelines and workflows to optimize efficiency and maintain quality standards
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior animators, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance your skills and contribute to project evolution

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a 3D Animator, preferably within the gaming industry or related fields
• Expert knowledge of 3D animation software, such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender and Unreal Engine
• Strong understanding of character animation principles, timing, and weight distribution
• Proven ability to create realistic and dynamic animations for both bipedal and quadrupedal characters
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail
• Good command of English (minimum B2 level)
• Experience with motion capture technology and its integration into animations is a plus
• Facial animation and lip-syncing experience is a plus
• Skinning and rigging expertise for characters is a plus
