About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential software company in Berlin that is expanding its IT infrastructure team. Our client supports over 130 employees across five locations in Germany with a modern, virtualized environment. We're seeking a Network/IT Administrator to join their technical operations team in either part-time or full-time capacity.

Responsibilities

• Support IT infrastructure for 130+ employees distributed across five German locations
• Manage modern infrastructure including multiple VM clusters (230+ VMs running Windows and Linux) connected to SAN infrastructure
• Plan, provision, operate, and maintain IT infrastructure, services, and systems
• Ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure and services with minimal downtime
• Maintain and enhance IT security across all systems and locations
• Evaluate, configure, and implement system extensions to meet evolving business requirements
• Organize IT procurement, vendor management, and resource planning

What We're Looking For

• Strong degree in IT or a related field, or comparable vocational training
• Professional experience in system and network administration
• Technical expertise in the following areas:
  • Windows or Linux Server (Ubuntu)
  • Web services (Apache, IIS)
  • Mail services (MS Exchange, Postfix)
  • IP networking in LAN and WAN environments, DHCP and DNS
  • Network and system management tools (Nagios, SNMP)
  • Virtualization platforms (VMware)
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple locations
• Strong problem-solving skills and systematic approach to infrastructure challenges
