About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential software organization in Berlin that is expanding its cloud engineering capabilities. Our talent team is seeking skilled engineers to support the development and optimization of a containerized hosting infrastructure. This is a full-time or part-time position based in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Support the operation and continuous development of an automated hosting environment
- Maintain and manage existing hosting virtual machines and instances
- Coordinate with data center service providers on infrastructure matters
- Participate in migrating the cloud environment to container technologies to optimize resource utilization
- Design and implement technical concepts for containerization and integration with existing management structures
- Share responsibility for securing and hardening web servers and operating systems as part of IT security initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Strong degree in an IT-related field or completed training in computer science, or equivalent knowledge acquired through professional experience
- Experience administering an automated hosting environment
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar container tools
- Experience in technical administration of web applications
- Proficiency in Linux server system administration
- Knowledge of tools including Nginx, Apache, HAProxy, Ansible, and Puppet
- Very good German language skills (C1 level or higher)
