HR Payroll Specialist (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential multi-brand hospitality organization with operations across Europe. Our talent team is seeking an HR Payroll Specialist to join their Munich-based corporate support office, where you'll play a vital role in payroll administration and HR operations for a workforce of several thousand employees across multiple retail locations.

This position offers the chance to work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting store management teams with comprehensive HR and payroll services.

Responsibilities

• Process administrative HR tasks independently, including contract preparation, certificates, and various employee documentation
• Prepare payroll-relevant documents and coordinate with external payroll service providers
• Serve as first point of contact for store management on administrative questions and operational implementation
• Ensure accurate payroll processing in collaboration with external payroll partners
• Maintain personnel files and time-tracking systems
• Take ownership of and contribute to HR projects
• Prepare and deliver workshops for store management on administrative and legal matters
• Generate reports and personnel data analytics
• Continuously optimize administrative HR processes in collaboration with the team
• Adapt and implement new legal and organizational guidelines

What We're Looking For

• Completed commercial apprenticeship or degree
• Initial experience in human resources or personnel administration
• Strong knowledge of German social insurance and payroll tax law
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Pronounced teamwork and service-oriented mindset
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally within a matrix organization
• Effective work style in fast-paced retail support environments
• Proficiency with standard software (MS Office, especially Excel) and online applications
• Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken
