Manager, Data Reporting

Vanguard is seeking a Manager, Data Reporting to lead reporting operations and data analytics initiatives in Malvern, PA. This full-time role combines technical expertise with team leadership, overseeing the data reporting function that delivers insights to drive strategic and operational decisions across the organization.

About This Position

As Manager, Data Reporting at Vanguard in Malvern, PA, you'll own the strategy and execution of our enterprise reporting capabilities. You'll translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable business intelligence for stakeholders at every level. Core Duties

• Design, develop, and maintain data reporting platforms, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions
• Define reporting requirements in partnership with business stakeholders and architect technical solutions
• Lead and mentor data reporting professionals, fostering excellence and continuous skill development
• Manage data pipelines and reporting workflows to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity
• Collaborate across finance, operations, and technology teams to align reporting with business priorities
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot reporting issues, and drive infrastructure improvements
• Establish and maintain data governance practices and ensure regulatory compliance
• Communicate reporting findings and insights to senior leadership and key business partners

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing data reporting, business intelligence, or analytics teams
• Advanced proficiency with SQL, data visualization platforms, and reporting tools
• Strong background in data warehousing, ETL development, and data quality practices
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and mentor professionals at all levels
• Excellent communication skills—ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Experience in financial services or large-scale data environments preferred
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
