About the Role

As a Main Studio Instructor at Equinox Berkeley, you'll be the driving force behind our studio experience, delivering engaging and energetic group fitness classes that motivate members to push beyond their limits. You'll create an inclusive, welcoming environment where every participant feels supported, challenged, and inspired to return. This role is central to member satisfaction and retention at our Berkeley location.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead multiple group fitness classes throughout the week with energy, expertise, and enthusiasm
• Prepare studio setup, manage music and audiovisual equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment
• Engage members before and after class to build relationships and understand their fitness goals
• Modify exercises and provide personalized cues to accommodate various fitness levels and abilities
• Collaborate with instructors and club staff to contribute to studio culture and member experience
• Support member retention and satisfaction through exceptional instruction and genuine connection

What You Bring

• Current group fitness certification (ACE, NASM, ISSA, or equivalent recognized credential)
• Proven experience leading group fitness classes in a club or studio setting
• Exceptional energy, charisma, and ability to motivate and inspire diverse groups
• Strong knowledge of proper exercise form, modifications, and alignment principles
• Genuine passion for fitness and commitment to member success
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability and professionalism in a fast-paced fitness environment
