Lead Project Manager

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential Contract Research Organization seeking a Lead Project Manager in Canada. This established CRO has over three decades of stability in the clinical research sector and is known for delivering quality, on-time services across multiple therapeutic areas. We're looking for an experienced project leader ready to manage studies from startup through closeout while mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage small projects (fewer than 5 countries and/or limited services) and medium-sized projects (5–15 countries and/or full service) under general supervision, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets
• Serve as co-manager on complex international projects and programs with shared accountability for quality and timely delivery
• Lead project teams and promote principles of service excellence when working with study sponsors
• Train, mentor, and coach study team members to build departmental capability
• Participate in feasibility research activities
• Support business development tasks including proposal development, client presentations, and bid defense meetings
• Implement company standard practices and ensure compliance with intradepartmental procedures

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of clinical research industry experience
• At least 2 years of project-level clinical project management experience, including managing all project phases from startup to closure
• Experience in Oncology is preferred
• Experience in Gastroenterology and/or radiopharmaceuticals is a plus
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget
• Strong understanding of CRO operations and compliance requirements
