The Opportunity

We're seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team at our Wigan location. As a Kitchen Assistant with Greene King, you'll play a vital role in keeping our kitchens running smoothly and ensuring our guests receive consistently high-quality meals. You'll work as part of a collaborative team, gaining valuable experience in food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and hospitality standards. This part-time position offers flexibility alongside genuine opportunities to learn and progress within the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with food preparation under supervision
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene throughout your shift
• Wash, dry, and store kitchen equipment and utensils efficiently
• Support the kitchen team with general tasks including stock rotation and proper storage
• Follow food safety and health and safety procedures at all times
• Respond promptly to kitchen demands and prioritise tasks during busy service periods
• Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain a tidy, organised work environment
