Agent – Air Import

Expeditors is seeking an Agent - Air Import to join our team in Cairo, EG. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage international air cargo operations whilst contributing to our supply chain excellence.

Position Summary

As an Agent - Air Import with Expeditors, you will play a key role in coordinating the smooth import of air cargo shipments through Cairo. You'll manage the complete lifecycle of air freight operations, from initial receipt through customs clearance and final cargo release. This is a hands-on role that requires precision, stakeholder management, and a genuine commitment to on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities

• Receive, log, and track incoming air shipments and associated documentation
• Liaise with airlines, customs authorities, and freight partners to facilitate cargo clearance
• Prepare and review customs declarations, bills of lading, and other import documentation
• Coordinate with clients to confirm delivery requirements and address inquiries
• Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate delays or issues
• Process duty payments and coordinate cargo release with relevant authorities
• Maintain accurate records and update shipment information in logistics systems
• Support continuous improvement of import processes and client service standards

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in air freight, air import operations, or similar logistics roles
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple shipments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Familiarity with customs regulations, import procedures, and documentary requirements
• Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Arabic and English is advantageous
