About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential app startup in Berlin that's building an innovative relationship wellness platform. They're seeking an Illustrator Intern to help bring their digital characters and game assets to life with a kawaii-inspired aesthetic.
This is a remote internship opportunity based in Berlin, ideal for an illustrator looking to build their portfolio while gaining startup experience in the consumer app space.
Responsibilities
- Create cute game items and avatar accessories for in-app use
- Develop illustrations that align with an established Japanese kawaii cartoon style
- Design character customization elements and visual assets
- Optionally contribute character animations if you have traditional animation skills
- Propose creative visual solutions for specific themes and concepts
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience creating cute, character-focused illustrations
- Portfolio showcasing work in kawaii, cartoon, or similar playful styles
- Ability to match and work within an existing visual style guide
- Creative mindset with capacity to generate original ideas
- Traditional animation experience is a plus but not required
- Must submit sample work with your application
