HR Manager FTC

We're looking for an experienced Site HR Manager to join Müller Milk & Ingredients on our Severnside site in the UK. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering the chance to make a real impact on our workplace culture and people strategy.

What This Role Involves

As Site HR Manager for this 12-month fixed-term position, you'll be the focal point for human resources and colleague experience across our Severnside facility. You'll work closely with site leadership to develop and implement people strategies that enable our team to deliver excellence whilst creating an environment where employees can develop and succeed. Your remit will span recruitment, employee relations, compliance, learning and development, and performance management across the site.

What You'll Do

• Lead recruitment campaigns to attract and onboard skilled colleagues across production and support functions
• Manage day-to-day employee relations, handling queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters fairly and consistently
• Develop and deliver training programmes that build colleague capability and career progression
• Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with employment law and organisational standards
• Support line managers with performance management, development conversations, and capability planning
• Champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with our values of quality and care
• Monitor HR metrics and report on people-related performance to site management

Skills & Qualifications

• CIPD qualification (Level 3 or higher) or equivalent HR experience
• Proven track record managing HR functions in a manufacturing or operational environment
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice HR administration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all levels
• Experience handling sensitive workplace matters with professionalism and discretion
• Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications
