About This Opportunity
We are representing a growing organization in Illinois that needs a GRC Consultant to strengthen their cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance programs. This contract position has potential to convert to permanent employment for the right candidate.
Our client is looking for someone who can bring structure to their security programs, guide risk-based decision-making, and translate complex compliance findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance initiatives across the organization
- Develop and implement structured security program frameworks
- Guide leadership in making informed, risk-based security decisions
- Assess compliance requirements and develop remediation strategies
- Communicate complex security and compliance findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed GRC best practices into business operations
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in governance, risk, and compliance within cybersecurity
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to structure and mature security programs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to business leaders
- Experience conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
- Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
