Our talent team is representing a confidential life sciences organization seeking a Lead Incident Response Analyst to oversee detection and response operations. This leadership role coordinates rapid incident response activities during the critical first 24 hours of security events, managing a dedicated analyst team operating around the clock.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the incident response team, ensuring coordinated handling of emerging security incidents
• Manage Incident Response Analysts supporting 24x7x365 security operations
• Coordinate rapid response activities during the initial detection and containment phases of security events
• Establish and maintain incident response procedures and playbooks for consistent execution
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security analysts across multiple shifts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive incident management
• Drive continuous improvement of detection and response capabilities

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience leading incident response teams in enterprise environments
• Strong technical background in security incident detection, analysis, and containment
• Demonstrated ability to manage 24x7 operational teams and support rotating schedules
• Expertise with SIEM platforms, EDR tools, and threat intelligence frameworks
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating response activities under pressure
• Experience developing and implementing incident response procedures and workflows
• Flexibility to provide operational support during security incidents as needed
• Location: Springfield, Sangamon County
