Level IV Central Office Installer – National Travel

Position Overview

We are representing a confidential telecommunications organization seeking an experienced Lead Central Office Installation Technician IV to support large-scale infrastructure deployments across the United States. This is a senior-level field position requiring national travel and hands-on leadership of installation teams in central office environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation teams for large-scale telecommunications infrastructure projects in central office facilities nationwide
• Install and configure DWDM transport equipment in live production environments
• Perform rack and stack operations, cable management, and equipment testing in CO environments
• Coordinate with project managers and on-site staff to ensure deployment schedules are met
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance during complex installations
• Document installation procedures, test results, and as-built configurations
• Travel extensively across the United States to client sites as project demands require

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level experience as a Central Office Installer or similar telecommunications installation role
• Extensive hands-on experience with DWDM transport equipment installations
• Proven ability to lead installation teams and coordinate multi-site deployments
• Deep knowledge of central office environments, practices, and safety protocols
• Strong understanding of fiber optic systems, network infrastructure, and telecommunications equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation documentation
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally on a regular basis
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in the field
• Physical ability to perform installation work including lifting, climbing, and extended periods on-site
