General Manager

Join Greene King as a General Manager at our Stoke Bardolph, Nottinghamshire location. We're seeking an experienced leader to oversee all aspects of our establishment's operations, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and build a high-performing team in this full-time role.

About This Position

As a General Manager for Greene King, you will lead a dynamic venue in Stoke Bardolph, taking responsibility for the complete operational success of the site. This is a hands-on management position that combines strategic oversight with day-to-day involvement. You'll champion our commitment to outstanding service, maintain rigorous standards across all functions, and create an environment where both customers and staff thrive.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all daily operations including opening, closing, and standard operating procedures
• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of staff, providing training, support, and clear direction
• Manage financial performance including budgeting, cash handling, and profitability targets
• Ensure health, safety, and food hygiene compliance across all venue operations
• Control stock levels, ordering, and inventory management
• Recruit and onboard new team members to maintain staffing levels
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards and handle guest relations
• Report to your Area Manager and support Greene King's strategic initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a hospitality venue or similar establishment
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of building high-performing teams
• Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial controls
• Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Full UK driving licence and your own reliable transport preferred
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
