What This Role Involves

As a Fresh Cuts Associate at Sysco, you'll be part of a team responsible for preparing, cutting, and packaging fresh meat, produce, and prepared foods to meet customer specifications and quality standards. This is a hands-on role in our Fresh Cuts operation where precision, food safety, and teamwork are essential. You'll work in a fast-paced food service production environment, contributing to Sysco's reputation for delivering premium fresh products to our clients.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, portion, and cut fresh products according to established recipes and customer requirements
• Operate cutting equipment and food preparation machinery safely and efficiently
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in all preparation areas
• Package and label products accurately for distribution
• Monitor product quality and freshness throughout your shift
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets
• Maintain a clean and organized work station

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow instructions and work within established protocols
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and punctuality
