Role Overview

As a Safety & Soundness Bank Examiner at RB, you'll evaluate the financial health, operational integrity, and regulatory compliance of banking institutions. Your work will focus on assessing risk management practices, internal controls, and adherence to banking regulations to maintain the stability and soundness of banking operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and off-site examinations of bank operations and financial performance
• Review financial statements, loan portfolios, and asset quality assessments
• Evaluate compliance with federal banking regulations, state regulations, and internal policies
• Assess management practices, governance structures, and risk management frameworks
• Document examination findings in comprehensive reports with supporting evidence
• Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to bank management
• Follow up on remediation efforts and verify implementation of improvements
• Maintain knowledge of current banking regulations, industry trends, and examination best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or a related discipline
• Knowledge of banking regulations, safety and soundness principles, and compliance frameworks
• Experience in financial analysis, audit, or banking operations review
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with financial software and data analysis tools
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight timelines
• Bank Examiner certification or eligibility to obtain certification
