System Administrator – GitHub Platform & DevSecOps

CIMA+ is seeking a full-time System Administrator – GitHub Platform & DevSecOps in Laval, Quebec, CA to manage our GitHub infrastructure and drive secure development practices across our organisation.

What This Role Involves

As a System Administrator focused on GitHub Platform and DevSecOps, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our development infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. This remote position offers the opportunity to manage GitHub's capabilities while implementing DevSecOps principles that protect our codebase and accelerate our deployment pipeline. You'll be responsible for maintaining system stability, securing our development workflows, and supporting our engineering teams with reliable, well-configured infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Administer and optimise GitHub Enterprise or GitHub Cloud, managing users, teams, repositories, and organisational settings
• Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, access controls, and audit logging throughout the development lifecycle
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, infrastructure components, and GitHub-related services to ensure high availability
• Configure and manage authentication, authorisation, and secrets management across GitHub and connected systems
• Automate deployment and administration tasks using scripts and infrastructure-as-code approaches
• Perform incident response and provide technical support to development teams on platform issues
• Document procedures, configurations, and best practices for system administration and security compliance

Requirements

• Proven experience administering GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Cloud, or similar distributed version control platforms
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles, security best practices, and their application in software development
• Proficiency with Linux and/or Windows system administration, networking, and security fundamentals
• Experience with infrastructure automation, scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python), and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerisation technologies
• Solid understanding of identity and access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
