CIMA+ seeks a full-time System Administrator specializing in GitHub Platform & DevSecOps to manage and secure our development infrastructure from a remote location. This role combines infrastructure stewardship with security implementation, ensuring our GitHub environment operates reliably while advancing our commitment to development security across the organization.

About This Position

As our System Administrator for GitHub Platform and DevSecOps, you'll take ownership of operational excellence and security across our development infrastructure. Working remotely, you'll partner with engineering and security teams to maintain a robust, compliant GitHub environment while embedding security practices throughout the development lifecycle. This full-time role balances hands-on infrastructure management with strategic security architecture.

Core Duties

• Administer and optimize GitHub instances, managing repositories, teams, organizations, and granular access controls
• Design and implement DevSecOps frameworks, including automated security scanning, secret management, and policy enforcement
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that integrate security checks, compliance scanning, and deployment automation
• Oversee user provisioning, access policies, and authentication systems across development platforms
• Monitor system performance, security metrics, and infrastructure health; respond rapidly to incidents and alerts
• Establish and test backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Work with development and security teams to embed security into development processes

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Cloud, or comparable version control platforms
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, tools, and implementation practices
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting
• Experience managing CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, containerization, or container orchestration
• Solid grasp of security fundamentals—access controls, encryption, authentication, and compliance
• Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to manage priorities independently within a remote work environment
