System Administrator – GitHub Platform & DevSecOps

Join CIMA+ as a System Administrator focused on GitHub Platform & DevSecOps in this remote position. We're seeking a skilled administrator to manage our GitHub infrastructure and advance our security-focused development operations.

The Opportunity

This full-time remote role offers the chance to shape how our engineering teams collaborate on GitHub while embedding security and operational excellence into our development practices. You'll bridge platform administration, infrastructure management, and security initiatives across our organization.

Responsibilities

• Administer GitHub organizations, repositories, and access controls, ensuring efficient collaboration while maintaining security protocols
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows that support both development velocity and security compliance
• Implement DevSecOps practices across development teams, integrating security scanning, code review processes, and vulnerability management into workflows
• Manage system infrastructure supporting GitHub and related development tools, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance
• Oversee user access management, authentication mechanisms, and role-based permissions to prevent unauthorized access
• Monitor security posture, respond to incidents, and recommend improvements aligned with industry best practices
• Document procedures, maintain runbooks, and provide technical support to development and operations teams

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience administering GitHub at enterprise or team scale, including organization management and repository governance
• Strong foundation in system administration, Linux/Unix environments, and infrastructure automation
• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms)
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles, secure coding practices, and infrastructure security
• Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, or Go preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to security and operational reliability
